CARE GROUPS

What are Care Groups?

Care groups are our way of ensuring our church remains small as it grows. We know that it is easy to get lost, to feel disconnected among the many activities and ministries of a growing church. The purpose of the care group is to:
   1. Create a feeling of unity.
   2. Help our members stay informed of ministry activities.
   3. Cause our members to feel personally cared for.
   4. Create a feeling of teamwork for ministry events and projects.

Our care groups are divided into the following groups,
MEN OF STEEL. The Men of Steel care group's purpose is to be a small group where men become responsible for each other through prayer and fellowship.

FIRST LADY'S. The goal of the First Lady's care group is to help the women of this small group discover their biblical authority.  We believe that when women discover that they are God's first lady they discover their own importance.

JUST OVER YOUTH (JOY). The JOY care group provides love, service and prayer for those ages 40 and above with the purpose of encouraging, strengthening, developing community and meeting physical and spiritual needs.

SERVANTS. The Servant's care group is a small group of ministry leaders that are called to serve God in active ministry.  They become responsible for each other through prayer and fellowship.  They discuss their ministry assignments, leadership and ministry techniques.

KINGDOM GENERATION. The care group for teenage students is called Kingdom Generation. It uses activities such as the "Zone" a 9pm to midnight ministry highlighting ministers, choirs and other musical groups from the Tidewater area, to our Youth Conferences "Spring Break and Harvest Fire".  The Kingdom's purpose is to help young people stay connected to God and off the streets.

KINGDOM KIDS.  The care group for children is called Kingdom Kids. They meet Sunday during our 10am morning worship service. Kingdom Kids provides a safe, fun atmosphere for children to learn Bible lessons and principles. Through a balanced curriculum and wholesome activities, we want to help your children grow up in God!

Each care group has a leader called a Care Shepherd. Care shephers are responsibile for calling each group member weekly, have the group celebrate special days, keep them informed of ministry events and activities and help keep their group members connected to the church in a meaningful way.
